What is Encounter?
We're a three day summer retreat that exists to build a foundational community of believers by introducing incoming students to churches and ministries at the University of Oklahoma. We would love to meet you!
Is Encounter only for freshman? Can I attend Encounter as a transfer student?
Yes! Anyone new to Norman and the OU campus is welcome to attend! Our goal is to connect you to a biblical community and local churches and ministries that you are passionate about!
Where is camp 2023?
Camp will be on OU's campus! Check-in information and more details will be sent to you after registration.
Can I arrive late or leave early?
Yes. We hope that you’ll be able to stay for all of Encounter, but if not, we’re happy to accommodate late arrivals and early departures. You’ll have a chance to provide that information in your registration.
Can I attend Encounter from out-of-state?
Yes! You can roadtrip into Norman and park for free, or fly into Will Rogers World Airport where we'll make arrangements to pick you up and drop you off! You'll have a chance to provide flight information after registration.
What if I can't afford camp?
We have scholarships available! Click the scholarship form during your registration and fill it out so we know how to support you best!
Where can I get updates about camp?
